Cold rain continues overnight

Widespread, cold rain showers will continue overnight with overcast skies and Sunday morning temperatures falling into the upper 30s.

A light wintry mix is possible in the higher elevations of NE Alabama by Sunday morning with little to no impacts. Expect another cloudy and cold day Sunday with highs in the lower 40s, rain showers will continue off and on throughout the day so have your umbrellas with you.

Sunday night into Monday colder air will arrive and leaves us with the possibility of seeing a wintry mix in spots. With the ground being warm still, any accumulation will likely be on grassy areas. Rain showers start to end by Monday evening and temps will fall into the upper 20s overnight into Tuesday.

The sun comes back out on Tuesday with chilly highs in the upper 40s. Temperatures will hover each afternoon around 50 degrees for highs with rain coming back into the forecast by Thursday and Friday.
