HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A city councilman serving Huntsville was stuck in elevator on Thursday.
Huntsville City Council President Devyn Keith sent out a tweet just after 11 a.m. on Thursday, saying he was stuck in an elevator at Huntsville City Hall. In that same tweet, he asked both Mayor Battle and the City Council to get a new building.
Keith was the only one in the elevator when it got stuck. There is no word yet on what caused the elevator to stop.
The tweet received several responses after Keith posted the initial tweet, including Mayor Tommy Battle and Madison County Lt. Donny Shaw.
Keith was stuck in the elevator for about an hour, before crews arrived and were able to open the doors.
