LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -A teen charged in a brutal murder in Limestone County will be prosecuted as an adult.
Aaron Jones' application for youthful offender status was denied on Wednesday in court.
He’s charged with capital murder and burglary in the death of 61-year-old Van Johnson.

Jones pleaded not guilty and not guilty by mental disease or defect.
Jones and another teen, Jakobe Carter, ran away from the Three Spring Juvenile Facility last year and they are accused of going on a burglary spree in the Madison area, ending with the killing of Johnson, a construction worker at the time contracting through Publix.
