Chilly day, but plenty of sunshine

A Freeze Warning will be in place until 9 AM this morning. Temperatures will be in the upper 20s to low 30s to begin the day. Today includes plenty of sunshine, but cold air flowing in from the north will keep temperatures chilly throughout the day. Highs will only top out in the lower 40s, and the wind chill will make it feel like the low to mid 30s. Overnight temperatures will fall below freezing, making for a bitterly cold start to Sunday. Tomorrow’s temperatures will improve by rising into the lower 50s.

Monday will feature widespread showers ahead of a cold front. The front will pull in very cold air into the region. A few showers will impact the first half of the day Tuesday, and then conditions will trend drier. Tuesday’s high will only make it into the upper 30s to low 40s. By Wednesday morning, the Tennessee Valley could be waking up to temperatures in the mid 20s. Sunshine will return mid-week through the rest of the work week. Temperatures will improve by the weekend, rising into the mid to upper 50s for the high.
