Florence could bring some wet weather to the Tennessee Valley

Tracking Florence; Hot locally with fading rain chances

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Rain chances are only 10 percent for your Friday and we are keeping them out of the forecast for the weekend.

The latest drought monitor released today shows that moderate drought conditions are expanding across North Alabama. There is no significant rain in the forecast into next week. Highs into the weekend will reach the lower to middle 90s.

Tracking Hurricane Florence:

Hurricane Florence is a Category 1 storm. Winds as of the 10 p.m. update are a 90 miles per hour with higher gusts.

Stay tuned for more changes to the track and intensity to Florence. It will be a slow moving storm with a high impact resulting in possible catastrophic flooding in parts of North Carolina and South Carolina. There will also be a significant impact due to high wind and storm surge.
